Assalam Alaikum Parents
Alhamdulillah we are in the 3rd Islamic month of Rabiul Awwal. This month brings us the opportunity to increase our zeal to learn and know more about our beloved Prophet Mohammad(S). No one among the believers can disagree that remembering the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, and learning about his life example are highly meritorious acts. The celebrations during the month of RabiulAwwal show the deep love and devotion that all the believers have for the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam. This love and devotion remains a distinct characteristic of Muslims throughout the centuries. What is important is that we just not celebrate the life of Prophet Mohammad(S), in words, but also praise him through our behavior. We should praise him as well as follow his life style, we should love him and listen to him, and believe in him and lead a life according to those beliefs.
InshaAllah, we will be having our first Seerah Assembly at Quail Run on March 22 and at Hart Campus on April 5th. Each class will be sharing their love of Prophet Mohammad(S) in the form of Nasheeds, speeches and skits. Parents are invited to join in. The Assembly will be from 10:00 to 11:30. We will have lunch from 11:30 to 12:00. You are welcome to bring a food item from your culture/cuisine to share. After the lunch the kids will go back to their classes for the second period inshaAllah.
We have our new T-shirts on sale. I saw some of the students wearing them and they mashaAllah looked really nice in them. They will be available for sale at the Seerah Assembly inshaAllah. The price is $15:00. Please purchase them and avoid the hassle of choosing appropriate clothing for Sunday school. In case, your size is not available, you may order the correct size and it will be delivered to you next week inshaAllah.
Also please remember, March 29th is the Staff Development Day. It will be a minimum day i.e. the school will be from 10 to 12 noon. Please pick up your students promptly at 12 noon as the teachers will have to leave immediately for their training session. I appreciate your cooperation.
